INFANT

Survival Swim Program

Kids will learn to relax, float and breathe for any period of time regardless of the water’s depth. Our instruction empowers kids to not only be comfortable in the water but to float and survive.

We don’t currently have an infant survival instructor teaching from our facility but please contact Alyson Millner below for her lessons in Johnstown, CO.

About the Program

Our certified Infant Aquatics Survival specialist will be teaching your babies from 6 months to one year old to float and breathe, regardless of the water’s depth, for an indefinite period of time until help arrives.

Ages 1 yr. – 3 years will be learning the swim-float-swim sequence and will learn to swim short distances with their face fully submerged, roll to their back to float and rest while catching their breath and then flip back over and swim to safety … even while fully clothed. This swim-float-swim method will serve as the foundation for future stroke development and advancement into the next USA Swim Academy class level.

Current Instructor, Alyson Millner

We have a certified Infant Self Rescue (ISR) Instructor, Alyson Millner, who is providing ISR instruction for babies in our facility weekday mornings. These lessons consist of an intensive 6-8 week program of 10 minute lessons Monday through Friday mornings.

Please contact Alyson Millner directly to obtain more information and to book lessons in this program.

“Jenny has been working with my daughter for just four days now and she is already holding her breath and lays on her back comfortably as Jenny pulls her through the water. I am more than happy with our experience so far! Jenny is soooo loving with my daughter and makes her feel so taken care of as if she has known us for a long time! She even checks in on us each night to see how we are doing. We love Jenny already!” – Mckenna

“We are one week into our survival swim classes with my 1.5 and 3.5 year old boys. The teacher, Jenny, is great. She has been doing lessons for a long time and it shows. She really understands the boys’ different personalities and uses different approaches, but ultimately gets them to learn and do the same technique. I’m impressed with what they have learned and are willing to do in the water after only four classes.” – Julie

“Jenny always greets us with a huge smile. She makes Jaxon feel safe and secure in the water and makes sure swimming remains fun. Jaxon has loved it so far and I am excited to see what else he can accomplish!” – Kim
